The Allan Gray Investment Summit, a one-day event set to take place on 31 August 2017 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, seeks to help both curious and experienced investors to make better investment decisions.
We have put together the Investment Summit in an attempt to arm investors with the best insights available to navigate the current precarious landscape. Investors will get a rare opportunity to access an expert group of diverse local and global investment leaders, under one roof. The event is set to become an annual highlight on the investment calendar.
The line-up
Renowned local and international investment experts from ten different companies will engage in a battle of views through topical panel discussions, debates and speaker presentations, facilitated by leading financial journalists Bruce Whitfield (Talk Radio 702) and Andile Khumalo (Power FM).
Some of the highlights on the agenda include:
- Global speaker Todd Buchholz, former White House economic adviser and Harvard professor, will be making a case for why there has never been a better time to put your money to work. He is a leading expert on global economic trends, finance, and market volatility.
- Morgan Housel - partner at Collaborative Fund, a leading source of capital for entrepreneurs in the US - and former writer for the Wall Street Journal and multiple financial journalism award winner, will present on the biggest mistakes investors are prone to make, and how to avoid them.
- A panel discussion on offshore investing, featuring experts from around the world, including Mark Laurence (Fundsmith, UK), George Cipolloni (Nedgroup Investments, US), Dan Brocklebank (Orbis, UK) and Kevin Murphy (Schroders, UK). They will demystify how investors can gain access to some of the world’s best offshore funds.
