Contextualising retirement reforms in South Africa

National Treasury has proposed retirement reforms aimed at enabling retirement savers to better balance short- and long-term needs and boosting the governance of umbrella funds. During the recent Allan Gray webinar, Tax update and retirement reform discussion, Jaya Leibowitz, senior legal adviser, outlined the origins and objectives of the proposed reforms.
